Questions about the appropriate size of a ceiling fan? Keep in mind that bigger rooms need bigger fans. For example, rooms that have 225 square feet or more require a 50” to 56” fan. Rooms that have up to 144 square feet need a 42” to 44” fan. And rooms that have up to 64 square feet or less require a 32” ceiling fan.
