From cool tropical styles to striking modern fans, Fanimation strives to bring you the perfect fan for your home or commercial building. The high-quality fans are featured in styles inspired by whatever catches the eye of founder Tom Frampton.
About Extension PolesFor safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.
Heating and Cooling with Your New Ceiling Fan
Circulate the air in your home by changing your ceiling fan direction in the summer and winter seasons. In the summer you need to make sure your fan is turning counterclockwise. You want a downward breeze in the summer so that you feel the cool air blowing down on you. In the winter you want the fan to blow upward so as to redistribute the hot air which collects at the ceiling area. You would accomplish this by having the fan turn clockwise.
