About Extension Poles

For safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.

What's with Ceiling Fan Blades?

An important factor in choosing a ceiling fan that is often overlooked is the blade construction. This is important because ceiling fan blades should be made of multiple layers of pressurized hardwood to eliminate warping. The less expensive blades are normally made of particle board, which looks great at first but it begins to bend or warp over time. This creates a greater tendency for the fan to wobble and make noise.
