About Extension Poles

For safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.

What is Ceiling Fan Blade Pitch?

The amount of air moved by a ceiling fan depends on the angle (or pitch) of its blades. A pitch of 14 degrees is optimum for maximum air movement. Fan blades should be at least 7 feet above the floor, but a blade height of 8 to 9 feet is optimum.
