About Extension Poles

For safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.

Getting the Best Ceiling Fan Motor

When choosing a ceiling fan for your home one of the most important factors determining the ability of your ceiling fan to keep you cool is the motor. You will want to look for a motor that is heavy duty and not undersized for the job or poorly constructed. This will make the fan more efficient. One way to be sure that you are getting a good motor is to take a look at the warranty. Most heavy duty motors that are used in the best ceiling fans feature a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty on the motor.
