About Hunter

Hunter products are known for both their technological innovations and their extraordinarily high quality. The father and son team of John and James Hunter created their first ceiling fan in 1886. Today they are a leading brand in ceiling fans and they have branched out to portable fans, air purifiers, humidifiers, thermostats and vaporizers. At Hunter, they create their own motors, and design and build them specifically for ceiling fan use, boasting durability with a wide variety of styles.

About Extension Poles

For safety reasons, fan blades must be a minimum of 7' above the floor. Hang the fan blades 8' or 9' above the floor for the most efficient air flow. All Casa Optima ceiling fans come with a standard pole for use with 8-foot ceilings.

What is Ceiling Fan Blade Pitch?

The amount of air moved by a ceiling fan depends on the angle (or pitch) of its blades. A pitch of 14 degrees is optimum for maximum air movement. Fan blades should be at least 7 feet above the floor, but a blade height of 8 to 9 feet is optimum.
